Welcome to my site and thank you for taking the time to view my work and learn more about me.

I wanted to shine a light on what I value and bring to the table as an employee, leader, and human being. My caring, nurturing nature has a profound impact on those around me. What drives me the most is not monetary but a mission-driven organization that focuses on making the world a better place. My team knows they can rely on me as I follow very simple core values, respect, open-mindedness, empathy, and non-judgment.

Here is a lovely quote from a colleague I worked with for 5 years that describes my working style:

“Ruby transforms spaces into atmospheres where all present feel comfortable with ease. His sensitivity will be an asset to boost team morale, provide personalized support, and be a positive influence in all areas of operation. Ruby works seamlessly and thoughtfully across cultures and varying backgrounds. Behaving with a high level of honest interest and respect is perhaps the cornerstone of Ruby’s character.” – Melinda Mettler

I bring a uniquely creative way of leading, with 15+ years of experience spanning marketing, community program management, creative production, and executive support. My path started in visual storytelling — video editing, motion graphics, and design — and has grown into building and leading community programs and partnerships that create real, measurable impact.

From 2023 to 2024, I volunteered as a crisis counselor for The Trevor Project, a nonprofit focused on suicide prevention, crisis intervention, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ youth. It remains one of the experiences I'm proudest of, and it deepened my commitment to LGBTQ+ community work — which I now do full-time at the SF LGBT Center.

At home, I am the parent of two rambunctious pugs and partner to one of the most ethical human beings I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and, in my opinion, one of the most talented and knowledgeable Luthiers in the world, my husband Bryan. Together we love to host, entertain and cook delicious food.

One of my favorite quotes.

“Strange is our situation here on Earth. Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to a divine purpose. from the standpoint of daily life, however, there's one thing we do know:  that we are here for the sake of others.” -Albert Einstein
